<description>This is a well-written, simple article about anxiety and what types of treatment are the most effective in overcoming this. I agree with the article that medications, psychotherapy, or a combination of both can be effective in treating these symptoms. Psychotherapy is not only effective in helping individuals with interventions to overcome anxious symptoms, but it is also effective in helping people overcome anxiety altogether. Psychotropic medications are great for helping people to get to a point to where they can best work through problems in their lives.

I think that this article also is good in that it points to the mental health field for mental health help. Many people go to their primary care physicians for help with mental health problems. Truthfully, this usually works out. However I advocate that people almost always seek out the help of a mental health professional (therapist, counselor, psychologist or psychiatrist) to deal with mental health problems. I point out to people that you wouldn&#039;t go to a primary care doctor in order to deal with heart problem. You would go to a cardiologist. We should treat mental health the same. Therefore, it is always best to go to a specialist to handle these issues. Mental health professionals will be the most up-to-date on the latest in techniques and medications used to help with anxiety.
